Lindsay Barnes

Lindsay Barnes, CliffordMoss Senior Project Advisor, is a political campaign professional with substantial experience building meaningful coalitions and winning campaigns. A proud California native, Lindsay headed east for her undergraduate education, cutting her teeth in New York City politics while studying at Marymount Manhattan College. In the city, Lindsay was inspired by the power of collective action. From stirring displays of peaceful protest to the small joys of her neighborhood garden, the power of collaboration propelled Lindsay towards community organizing. Lindsay returned to California to help elect Congressman Gil Cisneros and subsequently built two multi-million dollar congressional campaigns from the ground up. In 2022, Lindsay executed the largest media budget for a congressional challenger nationwide, communicating to voters in six languages. Believing that partnership, ingenuity, and tenacity are the building blocks of progress, she has honed these skills in diverse and competitive environments. Lindsay joined CliffordMoss to bring her deep knowledge of voter behavior, messaging, and in-the-trenches campaigning to guide large, complex, “must-win” ballot measures and candidate races to victory. When she is not championing public education, infrastructure investments, and sustainability, you can find Lindsay experimenting with a new recipe or frequenting a used book shop.
